Brightlingsea Adult Away Trip

Brightlingsea is an ideal location offering an introduction to tidal sailing or, for more experienced sailors, an opportunity to gain tidal endorsements to your qualifications. Accommodation is in comfortable centrally-heated dormitories with showers and drying facilities.
Experience: RYA Level 2
Age: 18+
Duration: Can be attended for one or two days.
Dates: 23 – 24 July
Cost: Saturday only: £69 Saturday & Sunday: £136.50

Adult Away Trip - Norfolk Broads (2 days, 2 nights)

This is an opportunity to work towards your Performance and Day Sailing certificates. Camping accommodation is adjacent to the centre’s building and has sturdy tents (on hard bases) each sleeping up to 4 people on sprung beds with mattresses.
Experience: RYA Level 1
Age: 18+
Duration: Friday 19:00 to Sunday 17:00 (approximately)
(Meet Friday night between 19:00 & 23:00 at Barton)
Dates: 14 – 15 May or 10 – 11 September
Cost: £136.50 (includes accommodation, food and all equipment hire)

Youth Away Trip - Norfolk Broads (3 days, 2 nights)

Camping accommodation is adjacent to the centre’s building and has sturdy tents (on hard bases) each sleeping up to 4 people on sprung beds with mattresses.
Experience: RYA Stage 1 + Activity Club Member
Age: 10 – 18 years
Duration: Monday 09:00 to Wednesday 17:30 (approximately)
(Meets and returns to Stanborough Park)
Dates: 1 – 3 August
Cost: £270 (includes transport, accommodation, food and all equipment hire)

Due to the nature of the BCU course specifications, away days are the perfect way to safely introduce yourself to moving water and an essential part of training for higher levels. Locations will be finalised closer to the dates as they will depend on the water levels in the local rivers.
