Hatfield Swim Centre is open to the public from 7am to 10pm Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm on Saturday and 8am to 6pm on Sunday. During this time we endeavour to give as much public access to the main pool as possible. Please see the pool programme for more details.
We offer a unique swimming experience by creating themed sessions that match the needs of our customers. These are as follows:
Calm Waters - for those people who enjoy a relaxing, sociable swim in a calm environment. These sessions are a great way to meet people whilst improving your overall health, relieve stress and tension. There are specific sessions for adults and women. On our programme these sessions are coloured light blue.
Active Swim - we provide designated lanes for those people who want to use swimming as part of their fitness programme. We also have coach led sessions in AquaFit and Style & Stamina to improve fitness and technique. The perfect compliment to our fantastic gym.
Fun Sessions - specifically designed for 8-16 year old who have lots of energy to burn. These sessions are action packed with fun using our fantastic inflatable equipment.
Family Water Discovery - a fun and safe session for families with young children to build confidence and new water skills. Fixed, interactive equipment, floats and toys are available to create a stimulating environment. A friendly atmosphere providing a great family day out for all.
Swim School - learning to swim if one of the most important life skills. Our Swim School operates all year round providing a development programme that offers lessons for all ages and abilities. Whether it's water confidence, learning to swim, improving stroke or stamina the Swim School programme ensures everyone has the opportunity to enjoy swimming.
Clubs - a number of local clubs use the facilities at the Swim Centre at various times of the week. These include Hatfield Swimming Club, Beaumont Diving Academy, Welwyn Garden City Swimming Club, Platypus Disabled Swimming Club and Trident Sub Aqua Club.

The diving boards are available for use on :
Term Time
Monday 4.00pm - 6.00pm, Thursday 4.00 - 6.00, Saturday 9.00am-12.00pm and 3.30pm-5.00pm, Sunday 3.00pm-6.00pm.
School Holiday Time
Monday to Friday 3.30pm-6.00pm, Saturday 9.00am-1.00pm and 3.30pm-5.00pm, Sunday 3.00pm-6.00pm.
NB - Availability is always subject to operational demand and at the Management's discretion.
