Introduction to Fishing Course
Learn to fish with our accredited angling coaches. We can provide all angling and safety equipment. The cost of the course includes the following basic equipment for you to keep; maggot box, disgorger, pole rig, whip, plummet and bait (bait used during the course).

Private Tuition
We also offer Fishing Improvers Courses run as private tuition. These courses are ideal if you are looking to improve your fifishing technique and catch more than the person on the next swim! Courses are run with our accredited Angling Coach who will share with you the secrets and top tips of success.
Age: 10 years and over
Experience: Previous experience of fishing, can assemble rod hook and line and make a basic cast.
Cost: £33 per hour

Please note that for both of these courses participants over the age of 12 must have a National Rod License available from the Post Office or online via the Environment Agency website.
Fishing at Stanborough Park
Day ticket fifishing is permitted on the south lake between sunrise and sunset all year round. Anglers over 12 are required to hold a national rod licence, available at the Post Offifice or online at www.environment-agency.gov.uk.
Angling is run by the Welwyn Garden City Angling Club, More information can be found at www.wgc-angling-club.co.uk. Anglers can bring their own bait or alternatively there is a tackle shop on site for more information call 07530 971 634.

Day tickets can be purchased from the machines in the South Car Park, please note that these machines only accept £1 coins, please bring change for machines in advance of your visit. Once tickets are purchased anglers may set up and start from any available fifishing swim, (max 2 rods per swim / max 3 rods October – March).
