RYA Stage 3 Sailing
RYA Youth Stage 3
This course reinforces abilities learnt in stage 2 and introduces downwind sailing and gybing skills, it includes - rigging, launching and recovery, sailing techniques, capsize recovery and sailing theory. It is designed to make helms safety conscious and be able to sail a dinghy confidently in light winds with minimum supervision.
Ability After Course : Can launch and sail a dinghy around a triangular course in moderate wind conditions and can hire single-handed boats at the centre outside of supervised session times.
Experience: RYA Stage 2 - Plus 12 hours of logged experience (since passing Stage 2)
Duration: 2 days Time: 09:30 – 16:30
